Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress, best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. She was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. However, in 2001, despite finances it was possible to secure her first big role in the online video show Rachel's Room as the lead character. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder set in Greenwich. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost in which she acted as a principal actor for the first two seasons.
